Hogan McDonald - Flight Instructor
The multi talented Hogan is moving forward.
Hogan was born and raised here in Bend, and fell in love with aviation early on. His grandpa was a pilot during the Korean War and passed along a deep love and appreciation for flying.
Hogan played varsity soccer for three years at Mt. View High School. He began flying when he was 16, soloed when he was 17, received his Private Pilot at 18 and became a CFI and MEI at 19. Hogan is currently attending COCC and plans on continuing his education and to earn his bachelors degree.
Hogan’s favorite cross country was from Bend to St. George Utah, to Sonoma, back to Bend (KBDN – KSGU – KSTS – KBDN) It was a three day trip and he was able to fly over (through) the Grand Canyon.
Hogan will eat just about anything, but loves Chinese food. When he is not flying he’s not having fun, but he forces himself to smile, especially while riding his scooter or mountain biking, mountain climbing, snowboarding, or anything else outdoors. One day he plans on owning a big Harley.
